Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to travel to Bihar and West Bengal, where he will inaugurate and lay the groundwork for various development initiatives totaling approximately Rs 18,200 crore.
In Bihar, Modi's activities will commence around 11 AM, where he will unveil and initiate projects valued at around Rs 13,000 crore in Gaya. During this event, he will also flag off two trains and address the attendees. Additionally, he will inaugurate the Auntha-Simaria bridge spanning the Ganga river. This new bridge, measuring 8.15 km, is situated on NH-31 and includes a six-lane section of 1.86 km, costing over Rs 1,870 crore. It will connect Mokama in Patna to Begusarai, significantly improving connectivity by eliminating the need for heavy vehicles to detour over 100 km due to the aging two-lane Rajendra Setu.
Later in the day, around 4:15 PM, the Prime Minister will head to West Bengal to inaugurate new sections of the Metro in Kolkata. He will also take a Metro ride from JC Road Metro Station to Jai Hind Airport. Furthermore, he will lay the foundation and inaugurate projects exceeding Rs 5,200 crore while addressing a public gathering.
These infrastructure advancements are expected to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance connectivity in both states, showcasing the Prime Minister's ongoing commitment to infrastructure development.
